Review of Privada Cigar Club
Farm Rolled Program

By: Dr. Mitch Fadem

  • Brian Desind, Founder - Orlando, Florida.
  • ‘NOT’ your average cigar club.
  • Rating: A very rare ‘5 Star’ rating!

In 2017, Brian Desind got the idea to start an all premium and rare cigar club, PrivadaCigarClub.com.

You can read about his journey and vision at the website, but in short the Privada Cigar Club is just that, a club where members pay monthly dues. You are not actually buying cigars. What? Brian takes the dues he collects and searches for rare premium cigars that are impossible to find, out of production, a small batch one-time production, vintage cigars hidden away, and cigars that blenders made just for themselves and a close circle of friends. All of these cigars are worthy of 4 or 5 star ratings. Hard to believe? I have been a member for about 6 months, and I can attest to the fact that the cigars I have received were exactly what Brian says they are, the best of the best.

I really want to write about his relatively new Farm Rolled Program. Each month, for $20, you receive 4 different cigars directly from a well know factory, blended by the best in the business. They are not labeled or banded. Brian writes a description of the cigars, tasting notes and a suggestion as to what time of day they are best suited for smoking. In June 2020, the factory spotlight was on the La Zona factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, where most of the Espinosa Cigars are made as well as other top premium brands like Arandoza, La Siera and Pier 28. All of their cigars are made using the ‘entubado’ rolling technique that only Master Rollers have the expertise to produce. Entubado rolled cigars always have a perfect draw, totally even burn and a traditional Cuban Triple Cap.

Brian knows the Espinosa’s, and when you have a personal relationship with a cigar maker, you are only going to smoke the best they have to offer. The Privada Cigar Club’s Farm Rolled Program lets you become part of that inner circle that you can only experience when you visit a ‘fabrica de cigarros’ and smoke with the owners.
