La Gloria Artesanos Retro Cigar
La Gloria Cubana Artesanos Retro Especiale Cigar rated B+ by the Cigar Czar. The new La Gloria Retro cigar is a tasty medium bodied smoke that would be great for both new and seasoned cigar smokers. The Club size is 5 3/4 inches long with a ring gauge of 47, and will smoke for about an hour. The draw is free and easy. Not too complex, starts off with a medium spicy flavor that calms down after about five minutes. Very enjoyable and affordable, available online for less than $100 per box of 25.
CAO OSA Sol Cigar
CAO OSA Sol Cigar rated B+ by the Cigar Czar. The OSA Sol is the first new CAO cigar since General Cigar took over the brand. The cigar is very well made and is medium-to-full bodied. Its naturally sweet and earthy rich flavor improves when aged in a humidor for at least a couple of months (initially rated a B). A very good cigar considering it is General Cigar's first attempt to recharge the CAO brand.
Gurhka Beauty Cigar
Gurkha Beauty Cigar rated A- by the Cigar Czar. Beauty is a medium-bodied premium cigar that can cost $30 in a glass tube, but 10-packs were on sale without tubes for only $49.95. In my opinion, this is not a $5 cigar nor a $30 cigar. The Gurkha Beauty is a superior smoke that is worth at least $10-$15. The cigar lasted for almost two hours and was very well made. A multitude of flavors just explode in your mouth, including rare herbal and botanical tastes not found in most other cigars. The size is 6½ x 58 according to the specs, but the length was 6¼" according to my measurements. Definitely worth a try if you have a couple of hours to burn.
Perdomo Champagne Noir Super Toro Cigar
Perdomo Champagne Noir Cigar rated A- by the Cigar Czar. Bourbon aged Maduro wrapper adds more body and sweetness to a similar filler blend as the 10th Anniversary Champagne. Cigar is well made, and the large 6 x 60 Super Toro size lasted for just an hour.
El Perrito War of Flavors Cigar
El Perrito War of Flavors cigar graded B- by the Cigar Czar. Small cigar (5.5x38) but lasts for close to 30 minutes. Strong and flavorful, but not too bad with such a narrow ring gauge. Good job by Team La Gloria!
Art Deco Cigar by Nestor Miranda
Art Deco cigar graded B- by the Cigar Czar. Great draw, even burn and long ash. Robusto 5.5x54 lasted for over an hour. Sweet spicy and peppery start, then tamer after 10-15 minutes. Prefer Miami Cigar's Don Lino - similar flavor transition but cheaper and better tasting, nice and creamy smooth after 15 minutes.
